Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. What are your office hours? A. The office hours vary by day. Please call us to schedule an appointment.
Q. May I come to your office without an appointment? A. No, Dr. Selman sees patients by appointment only.
Q. What do I do if I need to cancel an appointment? A. If you must cancel, please give the office at least 24 hours notice so that we may offer the appointment to another patient.
Q. Whom should I bring to the appointment? A. Please bring only the patient and the immediate family. A consultation involves serious discussions about your problems which may be very complicated. Children other than the patient and siblings can cause
distractions. A. Please bring the following: Copies of any pertinent tests, reports, consultations, etc that may be necessary for Dr. Selman to understand your history and problem. Please complete and bring all intake forms. A complete list of all physicians or other parties whom you wish to receive copies of Dr. Selman’s consultation or report. This should include the name, title, address, city, telephone number. A detailed list of all your medications and all over the counter preparations, supplements, vitamins, herbs, etc that you take.
Q. What insurance plans do you accept? A. Dr. Selman does not accept any insurance plans. His philsophy and experience have convinced him that the constraints of the “managed care plans” interfere with the optimal delivery of care. This is detrimental to the ideal care of patients. Dr. Selman will provide you with a billing statement describing your condition and services rendered. He can forward this to your insurance company or give to you for your own processing. Q. When is payment due? A. Payment in full is at the time of the consultation or test. Payment by check, credit card, debit card, or cash is acceptable. |
